Complex rehabilitation technology: Bridging the gap between research, technology and experience
Tuesday 19th of May 2020
Implementing innovative technologies in rehabilitation could facilitate increases in training frequency and intensity, assist the patient in home-training, or just offer support in daily life. However, many novel rehabilitation technologies do not mature and are not implemented in rehabilitative care. One of the reasons is a lack of essential knowledge exchange and collaboration between healthcare domain experts (specialists, physicians, patients), innovative (SME) companies and relevant knowledge institutes. The Euregional network i2-CoRT is bridging this gap between healthcare, rehabilitation technology and knowledge with the support of the Interreg V-A Euregion Meuse-Rhine programme (www.i2-CoRT.eu).
The i2-CoRT project partners kindly invite you to our symposium on the complex world of rehabilitation technology in clinical practice. Keynote speaker Carmen Laplaza Santos, Deputy Head of the Health Innovations Unit, DG Research & Innovation of the European Commission will guide us through future European research and funding opportunities for rehabilitation. In addition, rehabilitation specialists and innovation experts, such as Tom Braekeleirs from BlueHealth Innovation Center, and companies will present their ideas/solutions in rehabilitation technology.
Chair of the day: Jolien van den Houten
We are keeping a close eye on corona developments. If the guidelines so require the symposium will be moved or cancelled, and you will be informed in time.
Feel free to share this invitation with your network through mail, newsletters and/or on your website.
